Miley Cyrus Performance Style banned on morality grounds

Miley Cyrus has been banned from performing her ‘Bangerz’ tour in the Dominican Republic.

The government commission responsible for overseeing the country’s public performances has deemed the concert, scheduled to take place on September 13 2014, too offensive to go ahead. In a statement, the commission said it took the action because Cyrus “often undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican Law.”

The commission’s ban has  been announced, despite tickets for the show having been on sale since July.

The singer’s tour sees her wear a cannabis leaf patterned leotard and simulate oral sex on a Bill Clinton look-a-like, as well as her now customary twerking and tongue waggling.

During the London round of her Bangerz tour Cyrus reportedly told her mainly teenage audience, “I’m sure you all smell of alcohol and you’ve been smoking weed and taking tons of pills” and posted a picture of a five foot bong to her Instagram earlier this week.
